Squids with Olives in Spicy Sauce

Recipe ingredients

  • 500 gr squid
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tomatoes mature
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 100 gr. olives black or green
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 150 ml. White wine
  • 1 laurel leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • red pepper (Boukhovo)
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Salt
  • Parsley
  • Olive oil

Recipe execution

  • Clean the squid and put to boil for about 10 minutes.
  • Cut the squid into rings and finely chop the onion, garlic and peppers.
  • Put olive oil in a large pan and sauté the vegetables lightly.
  • Add the finely chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, wine, spices, salt and simmer until the sauce is tied.
  • Then, add the squid, parsley and pitted olives.
  • Mix and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  • Sprinkle with a little pepper and serve with fresh oregano!
